Anyone lucky enough to travel to one of California&#8217;s stunning desert parks may soon see the glowing light bulbs emerge, a distinctive first sign of spring.<\/p>\n<h2>Current Blooms<\/h2>\n<p>Bright yellow, white and purple flowers are already blooming in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park along Henderson Canyon Road and Red Rock Canyon State Park, with showy primroses, lacy phacelia and coreopsis.<br \/>\nThe desert landscape is beginning to burst with color&#8230; and more parks are expected to display a vibrant display of blooms in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n<h2>Expected Blooms<\/h2>\n<p>Borrego Palm Canyon and Coyote Canyon are also starting to see these beautiful displays of color.<br \/>\nCalifornia State Parks expects moderate to heavy wildflower blooms in desert state parks thanks to widespread fall and winter rainfall.<\/p>\n<h2>Best Places to View Wildflowers<\/h2>\n<p>As for places where visitors can see all the beauty, park officials list the following as the best views:<br \/>\nAntelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve,<br \/>\nChino Hills SP,<br \/>\nEastern Kern County Onyx Ranch State Vehicle Recreation Area (SVRA),<br \/>\nHungry Valley SVRA,<br \/>\nSaddleback Butte SP<br \/>\nAnd<br \/>\nArthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland SP.<\/p>\n<h2>Live Feed and Past Seasons<\/h2>\n<p>There is also one PoppyCam live feed for visitors wishing to visit the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve from mid-March to May.<br \/>\nThe same parks offered spectacular views in 2017, 2019 and 2023, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world to admire the colorful display.<\/p>\n<h2>Wildflower Season and Preservation<\/h2>\n<p>The wildflower season usually runs from mid-February to May, with the mosaic of colors on offer changing daily.<br \/>\nA quick reminder: picking wildflowers in state parks is against the law.<br \/>\nTherefore, officials ask you to preserve the \u201cBlooming Beauty\u201d and simply capture the beauty with your eyes by staying on the designated paths and only taking photos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction to Wildflower Season Californians can expect a wildflower explosion soon.
