According to a statement from BST Hyde Park, "Jeff Lynne is heartbroken to announce that he cannot perform at the BST Hyde Park Show tomorrow." The statement explained that Lynne is under the care of a team of doctors who advised him that performing at this time is not possible, and he needs to focus on his health instead.<\/p>\n
The concert, which was announced in October 2022, was supposed to be the last stop on the legendary rock group’s farewell tour in North America. Unfortunately, due to Lynne’s health issues, the concert had to be canceled, leaving fans disappointed.<\/p>\n
In a follow-up statement, BST Hyde Park announced that the event would be completely canceled on Sunday after Lynne’s exit. As a result, ticket holders would receive complete refunds. Saturday marked the last night of BST Hyde Park, and the organization apologized for the inconvenience.<\/p>\n
ELO, originally founded in 1970 as Electric Light Orchestra, was co-founded by Lynne, along with Roy Wood and Bev Bevan from the Move.
