Etihad Airways has implemented itself in Atlanta for the first time, expanding its US footprint and connecting the cultural and commercial heart of the US south coast with Abu Dhabi and beyond. The start marks another milestone in the North American expansion of Etihad.<\/p>\n
Etihad’s first flight from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport became the fifth US gateway in Etihad’s Global Network, in addition to New York City, Chicago, Washington DC, and Boston.<\/p>\n
Guests who travel from Abu Dhabi benefit from the convenience of the US customs and border protection facilities (CBP) at Zayed International Airport – the only one of its kind in the region. This enables passengers to complete US immigration and customs before departure, arriving as domestic travelers in the USA and saving valuable time on arrival.<\/p>\n
The newly launched route fulfills the growing appetite for travel between the United Arab Emirates and the USA, providing for business travelers, vacationers, and friends and family members.<\/p>\n
The Atlanta route was started with four flights per week, but record load factors and remarkable early bookings have prompted Etihad to achieve a quick expansion. Daily flights are set to begin from November 2025. The demand from both leisure and corporate segments has exceeded expectations, cementing the position of Atlanta as a key market for Etihad.<\/p>\n
