Georgia Oakley has registered to direct a feature version of Jane Austen’s novel, with Daisy Edgar-Jones set to star. The production, which is a Working Title Films and Focus Features collaboration, is slated to begin in Great Britain next month.<\/p>\n
This film will serve as Oakley’s follow-up to her debut feature, Blue Jean<\/em>, which premiered in Venice Giornate Degli Authori in 2022. Blue Jean<\/em> won the People’s Choice Award, four British Independent Film Awards (BIFA), and received a BAFTA nomination for outstanding British debut.<\/p>\n The script is being written by Australian author Diana Reid, known for her novels Signs of Damage<\/em>, See Other People<\/em>, and Love & Virtue<\/em>. The film is being produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, alongside India Flint of November Pictures and Jo Wallett.<\/p>\n Sension and Sensibility<\/em> follows the lives of two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, as they navigate love, loss, and financial uncertainty amidst the social expectations of 18th-century England.
