Impact Collaborative, a network of non-profit organizations based in New York, has expanded its operations to Los Angeles. The organization has opened an office in The Preserve in Hollywood, marking a significant milestone in its mission to drive social impact through storytelling.<\/p>\n
As part of its expansion, Impact Collaborative is launching a social impact entertainment studio. The studio aims to tell socially effective stories and provide new revenue streams for non-profit organizations. This move comes after the closure of Participant Media, a pioneer in socially conscious programming, last year. One of the studio’s pipeline projects includes a documentary feature by filmmaker Ben Levin, which follows the US Paralympic Sled Hockey Team as they prepare for a rivalry match against Canada in 2026.<\/p>\n
To support its ambitions, Impact Collaborative is building a physical sound stage in The Preserve in LA. The sound stage will host a number of podcasts and is expected to be operational by autumn. This new facility will enable the organization to produce high-quality content that inspires social change.<\/p>\n
According to Dr. Claire Wang, the inaugural director of Impact Collaborative, "LA is world-famous for its creativity and the power of storytelling, but it’s also a city that embodies resilience, diversity, and community spirit." Impact Collaborative has also strengthened its advisory board with the addition of Brandy Curry, Chief of Staff of the Television Academy and producer for the Emmys. Curry’s expertise in creating stories that inspire action will be invaluable in promoting and supporting the organization’s initiatives.
