The deal follows Janus’ acquisition of P\u00e1lmason’s previous film, "Godland", which premiered in Cannes 2022. "The Love That Stays" stars Saga Gar\u00f0arsd\u00f3ttir and Sverrir Gudnason as parents navigating their separation for over a year within their family. The film features P\u00e1lmason’s Icelandic Sheepdog Panda, who won the Palm Dog Award in Cannes.<\/p>\n
The film was produced by Anton M\u00e1ni Svansson at Still Lives and Katrin Pors at Snowglobe, with co-producers including Hobab, Maneki Films, Film I V\u00e4st, and Arte France Cinema. New European Film Sales completed the sale.<\/p>\n
