In an interview that was broadcast on CBS’ 60 Minutes on Sunday evening, the actress was asked why she registered as a spokeswoman for L’EGGS Pantyhose, Activia Yogurt, and Hertz rental car while her acting career was successful.

Balancing Career and Family

She started promoting these products, even though she played in the main role celebrated by critics in A Fish Called Wanda (1988), which earned her a BAFTA Film Award Nom, and in the middle of the success of True Lies, which brought her a Golden Globe and pulled in around $387 million worldwide. Curtis may have shared a perfect answer for this question because it was broadcast on Mother’s Day.

The Reason Behind Her Decision

“The most part because [doing the commercials] let me stay at home with my children," she said. "I am an imperfectly working mother. Because no working mothers are perfect." She continued: “We make it look good, we think we did it, but the truth is that we feel bad, but I know how much time I spent from you.” Curtis has two children with her husband Christopher Guest: Annie, who was adopted as a child in 1986, and Ruby, who was adopted in 1988.

Past Interviews and Experiences

Before that, she opened up in an interview with NBC’s Today about these Activia ads, saying she had trouble being away from her family due to the requirements of her work. (Kristen Wiig parodied these Activia ads on Saturday Night Live.) "It is the reason why I sold yogurt that shits you for seven years", Curtis said in 2011. "One reason why I made commercials… I have made commercial spots for a very long time so that I can improve all of these distances from my family. It enabled me to make money and stay at home."

Family Ties and Recent Achievements

Curtis is, of course, the daughter of Janet Leigh, who also juggled maternity with her own acting career. Curtis recently deserved her first Oscar for Everything Everywhere at Once and this earlier award season landed BAFTA and said Awards Noms for their role in The Last Show Girl. The films are one of her upcoming credits, including More Triggered Friday and Ella McCay.

Introduction to Jamie Lee Curtis Jamie Lee Curtis has a really good reason to register for tights, yoghurt, and rental cars at HAWK, even though she is a big star.
